I have some PCOS symptoms (slightly elevated testosterone and would get a non estrogen producing cyst after most cycles). Also we used ovidril trigger shots with each cycle. For the seventh we decided to switch to Follistim only in preparation for moving on to ivf and it worked. For the fifth and sixth we went back to the same treatment as third and fourth since the fourth one worked, but no luck for five or six. Our 4th IUI worked but we had a miscarriage at nine weeks. The first two IUIs were 7.5 MG of Femara then the next two IUIs were 7.5 MG of Femara combined with Follistim. I've had seven IUIs and three rounds of TI with clomid. I'm so so so happy for you and your husband and if you have questions or want to talk, feel free to message me! We're planning on trying for number two in the spring so hopefully the endo behaves between now and then! I actually did find out during birth (c-section, large baby) that I did have endo scar tissue in my uterus and large intestine but that my tubes and ovaries looked good so it was a relief to hear that.Īnyway, to answer your question, nothing different from a normal pregnancy minus the extra ultrasounds and post pregnancy I haven't had anything done. I did continue the progesterone "vapositories" as I called them until 8 weeks or so, I'm not sure if your doctor is having you do the same. After that I was handed over to an OB who I saw normally after that. I had an ultrasound with the fertility clinic at 7 and 8 weeks to confirm the pregnancy was coming along and if it was a singleton or multiples. YAY! I'm so happy for you and I'm glad you found it helpful! If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.Įdit: forgot to add, currently at 34 weeks and patiently waiting. I wish you the best of luck with your IUI adventures and I'm sending good vibes your way! My actual diagnosis (I think) is just "unexplained infertility" but I'm pretty sure I have endo and results of my initial blood work showed a very low AMH, that of a woman in her 40s (I'm 31). I was floored when the result was positive because of the bleak outlook we'd initially been given despite knowing the first doctor wasn't the best. It all felt like a process but it was well worth it. I took Letrizole to start then injections (Gonal-F for several days and ovidril right before) which I was terrified of (I hate needles) but they weren't bad at all and I didn't even feel them to be honest. It actually only took us one round for a successful outcome. IUI was the first step we'd try and because insurance paid for 3, that's how many we would do before exploring other options if it didn't take. Thankfully I went to another fertility doctor who explained everything to me step by step and went over my options. Wham bam thank you now give me your money. When I first went to a fertility clinic with concerns of endometriosis and our inability to conceive, the doctor essentially told me that I would never conceive naturally and IVF was our only option.
